The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

The author

Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.

The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
